CyberLive!Arena is reaching a new level! Starting this week, the Group Stage and Playoff of the CLA EuroCup eFootball tournaments will be accompanied by English commentary from two talented Polish casters: Mikołaj “URF” Palimąka and Mateusz “Zbiegu” Zbieg.
Mikołaj "URF" Palimąka is a popular esports commentator and event host known for his charisma and in-depth video game knowledge. He actively covers competitions in various esports titles, especially in the sports simulation genre such as FC24. His participation brings immense energy and enthusiasm to the CLA EuroCup.
Mateusz "Zbiegu" Zbieg is an experienced player and commentator who has made a name for himself by participating in various big esport events such as the PKO BP Ekstraklasa Games. In addition to casting, he actively participated in the competitions themselves, repeatedly taking high places in the qualifications. His competencies in the field of sports gaming make him a great addition to the CLA EuroCup team.
While they have already had some time to settle in, we’ve asked them about their initial impressions with CLA EuroCup:
What excites you most about being a part of the CLA EuroCup tournament?
Zbiegu: “I like the direction this project is heading in, I see great commitment and a desire for professionalism among the people responsible for it, which also motivates me to do my part in its further development. Besides, it could be an interesting adventure, and the fact that I will do commentary with my friend URF definitely makes it only more fun and exciting.”
URF: "There are truly talented EA FC players in CLA, and watching their competitions is a real pleasure."
How do you prepare for casting a live event?
Zbiegu: "The most important thing for me before the broadcast is to eat and tidy up my appearance, because you need to look good in front of the camera. Sleep also plays a big role, although it’s not always possible to get enough — you don't want to look like a zombie. I always keep water next to the commentary desk — without it, there’s no point in starting. Since I speak a different language in everyday life, before casting, I try to refresh my memory of English phrases related to football and EA FC. And, of course, I check if all the equipment is working — after that, I can start!"
URF: "I study players' biographies, update information about the latest game patches, check the schedule, and do a preliminary analysis of the participants - that's all :)"
What can viewers expect from this tournament?
Zbiegu: “It will not surprise anyone if I say that viewers can expect a lot of emotions, fierce competition and, in the background of all this, gripping commentary. However, it is worth noting the high skill presented at these tournaments, in which some of the best players in their countries take part. If someone plays EA FC at home, it can be a great opportunity for them to see how the best players play, what ultimate team cards they use, what tactics they prepare and borrow playstyles from them for themselves, that can improve their own skill in EA FC.”
URF: “Lots of emotions which are typical for esports, gaming and competing - adrenaline and happiness to watch those guys winning!“
Any personal message you'd like to share with the audience?
Zbiegu: "After knee surgery, it’s best to avoid dogs running underfoot — one awkward movement, and your mood could be ruined for a long time." (Editor’s note: Zbieg is currently recovering from a recent injury, so we wish him a speedy recovery!)
URF: “I would like to invite all of you to watch the upcoming CLA EuroCup tournaments. They are going to be an amazing experience for everyone!”
Commentary from Urf and Zbieg adds even more drive and intrigue to the most intense moments of the matches. This week, you’ll have the chance to see them in action for the first time during the group stage and playoffs of the 38th season of the CLA EuroCup eFootball. Don’t miss it!
